Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup Dutch-process cocoa
  • ¼ cup cornstarch
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • 4 cups milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tsp. vanilla extract

Directions

1. In a heavy saucepan, combine the sugar, cocoa, cornstarch, and salt
2. Gradually add milk.
3. Bring to a boil over medium heat
4. Boil and stir for 2 minutes
5. Remove from heat
6. Stir in button and vanilla
